How this started

Tech Taco Tuesdays started the way most good ideas do: a few IT folks complaining over lunch that every "networking event" within driving distance was a vendor pitch with a lanyard. The fix seemed obvious — pick a food, pick a day, make it every single week so nobody has to check a calendar, and keep the talks short enough that the conversation is the main event.

Who it's for

MSPs, sysadmins, security folks, developers, students, and anyone curious. Titles don't matter here — the person who racked their first server last month and the person who's been doing incident response for twenty years are eating the same tacos. If you're tech-adjacent and in Southeast Michigan on a Tuesday, you're the audience.

What it isn't

• Not a sales pitch. Nobody is working a booth. There is no booth.
• Not a vendor demo. Talks come from people in the room about things they actually did — including the parts that went sideways.
• Not a commitment. No membership, no dues, no attendance streak. Come when you can, skip when you can't. It'll be there next Tuesday.
